I surfaced the head mating surface and flange surface, you can bolt it on use as is if don't mind appearance. I did not try to separate the intake from exhaust manifold, would use it as is, separating may cause more problems than its worth. I lightly blasted it to get the big stuff off, but its still in need of a good cleaning. The heat choke turns freely, but I would replace the thermal spring before using it.
This is an unusual exhaust and intake manifold for a 235 Chevy 6, may also fit 216, but I'm not sure about that, its updraft configuration that was used on cabover trucks to reduce the height of engine, they are hard find compared more common downdraft manifolds.
